Privacy policy

You upload selfies. We use them to generate photos of you in different scenes. We don't sell your data, we don't use your photos to train AI models, and you can delete everything at any time from your profile page.

The rest of this page is the detail behind those sentences.

Your account. Your email address, and a password if you didn't sign in with Google. If you use Google sign-in, we receive your email address and, where you've made it available, your name and profile picture.

Your photos. The selfies you upload, and the images we generate from them. You can also upload optional reference images — an outfit, a venue, a pet — when a scene supports it.

Details you tell us about yourself. Age, gender, height, weight, body type, and country. These are optional in the sense that you choose what to enter, but they materially affect how accurately the generated photos represent you.

Payment information. Handled entirely by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record for every purchase. We never see or store your card number. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, which plan or credit pack it was for, and your subscription status.

Technical information. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — generated automatically when you use the site.

The selfies you upload contain your face. Depending on where you live, this may be treated as sensitive or biometric personal data with stronger legal protection than ordinary information.

We process facial images only with your explicit consent, which you give by uploading selfies to a selfie set. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the set or your account, and we will stop processing those images.

Specifically, we want to be clear about what we do and don't do:

• We use your selfies to build a written description of your physical features, which is stored with your selfie set and used to make generated photos look like you.
• We send your selfies to an AI image generation provider for the sole purpose of generating your images.
• We do not use facial recognition to identify you, match you against any database, or compare you to other users.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
• We do not sell, license, or share your photos with advertisers or data brokers.

We use a small number of service providers to run Swipe Shot AI. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Cloud infrastructure and storage providers host our website, database, and file storage. Your account, photos, and profile details are stored with them under contract, and they may not use your data for their own purposes.

AI image generation providers generate your photos. Your selfies, any reference images, and the text prompt describing the scene are sent to their API for that purpose only. These providers do not use data submitted through their API to train their models. They may retain it for a short period — typically up to 30 days — for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted.

Paddle processes payments as merchant of record. Paddle is the legal seller for your purchase and handles billing, invoices, tax, and refunds. Charges appear on your statement as Paddle, not as Swipe Shot AI. Paddle's own privacy policy governs the payment data you give them.

We may also disclose information where we're legally required to, or where it's necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Our service providers operate internationally, which means your data may be processed outside your own country, including in the United States. Where data is transferred out of the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

While your account is open, we keep your selfies, generated images, and profile details so the service works.

When you delete a selfie set or an individual photo, it is removed from our storage.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, selfie sets, uploaded photos, and generated images. Your subscription is cancelled at the same time. This cannot be undone.

We may retain a minimal record of transactions where tax or accounting law requires it. Paddle retains its own records as merchant of record, independently of us.

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:

• Access — ask what personal data we hold about you
• Correction — have inaccurate data fixed
• Deletion — have your data erased, which you can do yourself from your profile page
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Objection and restriction — object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict it
• Withdraw consent — for facial images, at any time, without affecting processing that already happened

If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in California, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Photos are stored in access-controlled storage, and database access is restricted so that you can only read your own records. Payment card details never touch our systems.

No service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

Swipe Shot AI is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Do not upload photos of anyone other than yourself.

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect.
